This virtual program, hosted by the Michigan Chamber of Commerce and sponsored by General Motors, took place on October 4, 2022 and included two breakout sessions to facilitate small-group discussions (these are not included in the recording).

Facilitated by CP Executive Director Lynne Golodner, and led by renowned journalists and Civility Project co-founders Nolan Finley and Stephen Henderson, this conversation details how to build civility, where to start, and how to have difficult political conversations.

Civility Session with University of Michigan Medical School Office of Research

Participants from University of Michigan Medical School Office of Research engaged in conversation about civility – what it is, why we need it and how to build it in relationships across families, workplaces and communities. The session was held on June 13, 2022 and facilitated by Civility Project founders Stephen Henderson and Nolan Finley, and coordinated by CP Executive Director Lynne Golodner.

Civility Session with Collaborative Professionals of Southeast Michigan

This 90-minute virtual session is hosted by the Collaborative Divorce Professionals of Southeast Michigan. Led by journalists and friends Nolan Finley and Stephen Henderson, the Civility Project introduces people to the concept of civility, why it’s important, and how to build it in your relationships, whether professional or personal. Our sessions teach people how to have difficult conversations with people who hold opposing perspectives and learning to listen to where the other side is coming from.
