
The Civility Project Session at Taking Action for Peace Conference

Stephen Henderson and Nolan Finley will present about the Civility Project at Taking Action for Peace, a conference of ideas and solutions. Drawing 600+ participants and including youth from Northwestern Ohio and Michigan, this conference focuses on four tracks:
- Public Health: gun violence and prevention; mental health & addiction; health disparities; effect of global pandemics
- Environment: environmental injustice; water rights; sustainable technologies; energy conservation
- Civic Literacy and Engagement: misinformation/disinformation in print, broadcast, and social media; media literacy and civic literacy as life skills
- Restorative Justice and Practice: racial equity; dispute resolution; implicit bias; understanding and addressing conflict in the workplace/school/community.
Teams of undergraduate students will submit project ideas for a competition judged by The Resolution Project. https://resolutionproject.org/ Winners will receive seed money and mentoring to implement their project. They’ll also present their projects at the conference.
